What is SAT Exam?

SAT exam is extended as Scholastic Assessment Test. It is generally conducted by the college board, SAT Exam is conducted for candidates aspiring to complete their undergraduate courses in undergraduate universities of the US and Canada. It is also an acceptable test for some colleges in India. This test is a written based test.

Eligibility Criteria for SAT Exam:

  • There is no age limit for the candidates appearing for SAT Examination.
  • SAT Exam is accepted in USA, Canada and some colleges of UK, Australia.
  • Generally Conducted for taking admission in Undergraduate Programs.
  • Most basically candidates of age 17-18 apply for the SAT Exam.

Exam Pattern of SAT Exam:

  1. SAT Exam is divided into three sections with an optional Essay section.
  2. Section 1 – Reading section 
    • No. of Questions – 52
    • Duration – 65 minutes
  3. Section 2 – Writing section 
    •  No. of Questions – 44
    • Duration – 35 minutes
  4. Section 3 – Mathematics section 
    • No. of Questions – 58
    • Duration – 80 minutes
  5. Section (optional) – Essay section 
    • Questions – 1
    • Duration – 50 minutes
  6. The entire for sections 1,2 and 3 is 3 hours and if the candidate had opted for an optional essay section then the duration will be 3 hours 50 minutes.
  7. For the Essay section candidate has to select any one language from below listed languages:
  8. German, Italian, Physics, Spanish, Modern Hebrew, French, Biology, US History, Chemistry, Latin, Math I, Math II, Literature, World History, Korean with listening, French with Listening, Chinese with Listening, Spanish with listening, Japanese with Listening, German with listening.
